Cars were first made as a need of the human being to travel fast. After few years, when the basic need was fulfilled, people started thinking about their esteem needs. Thus was the evolution of luxury vehicles. The luxury vehicles provided a lot of other comforts than the basic needs. Thus whoever interested in luxury started buying those kinds of vehicles.
Nowadays there are a lot of companies that manufacture luxury cars. But one of the most famous one is Infiniti cars. Infiniti is the luxury car division of Japanese automaker Nissan motors. The sales from this division were officially started in 1989 in North America. Now it has global presence in more than 15 countries.
The sales of Infiniti cars were growing day by day. Better advertising and many award winning models made Infinity a big contender in the luxury vehicle segment. The logo of the company reflects its name. It is a stylized road that head towards infinity.
The popular model of Q45 helped it to capture the luxury car market. The car was having a class-leading, 278hp (207kW) V8 engine, four wheel steering, the first active suspension system offered on a motor vehicle, and numerous interior luxury appointments. It was better compared with the best available imports like Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz, Cadillac and Lincoln and started dominating the American luxury segment.
In between the sales were not happening that great due to Nissans economic situation. But it came back strongly with G35 in 2003. It was even named Motor Trend Car of the Year in 2003. The release of the sport-tuned FX35/45 was also a big success with the backing of the previous version.
A redesigned version of the G35 sedan was introduced in 2007 which was also popular. But in 2008, the company came up with G37. It was first unveiled at the New York International Auto Show. The new Infiniti EX35 compact crossover, which is Infiniti's entrance into the compact luxury crossover market, was also introduced in 2008.
Infiniti Europe was officially unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2008. The sales also have been started. The next generation of the Infiniti FX37 and Infiniti FX50 performance SUV, the Infiniti G37, the Infiniti G37 coupe, and the Infiniti EX37 crossover will be the show room objects in Europe. Infiniti expect to capture the Europe luxury market also with its unbelievable models.
A new M sedan is all poised to be released as a 2010 model. It is expected to come in M37 (330 hp, 270 ftlbf, 3.7-liter V6 as seen on the 2008 Infiniti G37 coupe) and M50 (390 hp, 369 ftlbf, 5.0-liter V8 debuting on the new 2009 Infiniti FX crossover) variations. In 2011 Infinity Q may be released which is expected to be based on the Nissan GTR utilize Infiniti's new 5.0-liter V8 (390 hp, 369 ftlbf).
Thus the Infinity model of luxury cars is becoming a synonym itself for the segment. So if dont want to lose your comfort zone while you travel, better go for luxury drives of Infiniti cars.
